Just the Deets Legends Ranch offers rustic Western ambience on an actual working equestrian ranch. The venue is 10 minutes drive off Las Vegas Boulevard, conveniently located to many of the Strip hotels and casinos on the southern end. It’s a perfect spot for a western themed yet very glamorous wedding!
Venue rates: $4000 up to 100 guests, $4500 100-150 guests, $5000 for 150-200 guests and $5500 for 200-250 guests. Venue rental is just for the property, and does not include decor, lighting or furnishings, but does include bridal and groom ready rooms, restrooms and a space for the bridal party.
What’s Special? The outdoor areas are stunning and comfortable, surrounded by low stone walls, huge trees and grassy areas set on the sweeping estate amongst pools and fountains. It is one of the few true ranches available for events in the Las Vegas area. Western touches are found in the horses, barns and in the authentic decor.

You are welcome to work with companies not on the preferred vendor list, but there are up charges and fees
There is an outdoor stage area making it ideal if you wanted to have a band play at your reception
Real Weddings and Shoots at Legends Ranch Featuring on Little Vegas Wedding
I love the infusion of the Old West into so many of the locations in and around Las Vegas when you get off The Strip. The history of the area is really brought out by locations like Eldorado Canyon and the venue of today’s featured engagement shoot: Bonnie Springs Ranch.
This session featuring local couple Greg and Jessica was photographed by Thomas Ashley Photography. Bonnie Springs is a real working ranch with horses and other animals (like peacocks), plus a replica setting of an old mining town from the 1880s, so it’s a total throwback to the Wild West. The buildings, fences and colors impart that old Nevada style.
It was also the perfect location to give a sneak peek to the theme of Greg and Jessica’s upcoming wedding: they’re going for a western theme! Congratulations, you two!
It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when brides and grooms incorporate their friend’s talents into their wedding day, for example helping with invitations, providing floral design or wedding day beauty. Or, in the instance of today’s wedding of Amy and Bill, photography! It always adds an extra level of personalization. Turns out Amy, the bride, is quite good friends with Jodi of j. anne photography who documented her rustic meets modern wedding at JW Marriott Las Vegas.
Another Thursday, another Throwback! Today’s post is focused on styled shoots. What’s a styled shoot? Well, let’s not beat around the bush – it’s a fake wedding!
Often starring models and occasionally real couples, styled shoots are mini-weddings set up to bring amazing ideas, details and concepts to life. These faux weddings are full of inspiration and ideas (often over the top for effect) that you can pull into your wedding or event. They are some of my favorite posts to share on the blog!
I like to think of styled shoots like haute couture fashion. Some of the concepts are really out there because of the wild creativity and abilities of the photographers, stylists and vendors working on them. But the real venues, real ideas, real props and themes are ripe for incorporation into your event, much like how high fashion trickles down into the everyday from the runway. After all, we aren’t all walking around dressed head to toe like Lady Gaga … but a Gaga-esque necklace or heels might be nice to wear.
Blah blah blah, let’s get started! There are so many fabulous styled shoots for you to see…
I have yet to visit Eldorado Canyon (aka Nelson Ghost Town) but I love it so much, I try to feature weddings and engagements shot there as much as I can. It’d be so awesome to have one day a week just dedicated to Nelson posts, actually… haha! Maybe some day. I think the thing that appeals to me is that the town never looks the same. Rusted out buses, crashed planes, old barns, fields of desert cacti – it’s so unique, and is super flexible.
Jamie Y Photography shot Laura and Wade’s destination wedding at Eldorado Canyon not too long ago, and the photos turned out so beautifully. Laura and Wade came from Missouri specifically to tie the knot at the scenic abandoned mining town, and they transported the 50 of their guests out to the little ghost town in a bus!
Angie Kellyof Peachy Keen Unions wed the couple, surrounded by the cacti and rustic architecture of the town – yet, a very modern touch as they both read their personal vows straight off an iPhone. The wedding colors – canary yellow, navy blue and turquoise look so great against the desert tones and the busy backgrounds at Nelson, don’t they? After the wedding Jamie took a few more photos of the couple as the guests nibbled on snacks and had beverages. Loving the ruffles of Laura’s gown in her bridal portraits!
