Little Vegas Wedding (or LVW if you’d rather) was started when I was planning my own 2010 destination Vegas wedding. After spending many hours online researching and wading through forums and outdated, uninformative websites full of sales pitches and staged venue photos, I decided there had to be a better way, so I started LVW in June 2012.
What Little Vegas Wedding is All About
LVW aims to please in the form of posts featuring eye candy of real Vegas weddings, elopements and engagements, plus inspiration in the form of styled wedding shoots to get your creative juices flowing. Desert weddings, chic modern Vegas wedding venues, restaurant receptions and the unexpected all make regular appearances on the blog.
Throw in some vendor interviews and Vegas wedding tips, and comprehensive venue directory for unique Vegas wedding options and receptions and you’ve got the gist of Little Vegas Wedding.
Everything is written from my point of view, that of a former Las Vegas destination bride, with a helpful and personal look at the most common problems and questions couples planning have while planning their own weddings in the city.
Meet Kelly
Before launching Little Vegas Wedding, I was a photo and website editor at a newspaper. Prior that, I was a biologist and sometime travel writer. It’s been a strange few years!
I’ve lived in a few countries including Japan, Thailand and the UAE, but currently live and blog from the snowy slopes of the Rockies in western Canada. I’d move to Las Vegas in a heartbeat though, and visit frequently. When I’m there, you can find me enjoying a cocktail at the Laundry Room, eating sushi at Kabuto, spa-ing, high tea-ing or champagne-ing at the Mandarin Oriental or playing the Roller Coaster Tycoon machine at the Pinball Hall of Fame. (It keeps eating my quarters, though.)

Yeah, but why Vegas?
If you found yourself here because you are planning a Las Vegas wedding, either locally or as a destination event, congratulations! Las Vegas is one of the best places on earth to get married. Sin City appeals to a range of wedding styles, themes, sizes and budgets.
In terms of venues, it has something for everyone – ecologically friendly outdoor spots, intimate cocktail receptions, rooftop ceremonies, restaurant receptions, modern hotel chapel weddings, and personal vows surrounded by the natural desert beauty of the Nevada landscape. There is a world of options outside the chapel for modern Las Vegas weddings. Come discover them, won’t you?
Plus, the Las Vegas wedding professionals are fantastic! There are amazing photographers, caterers, florists, planners, officiants, hair and makeup artists, entertainers and a host of other wedding industry vendors there to help you at every step of the way. There really is no better place to say “I do!â€
People have many assumptions about Vegas weddings, and so many of them are not true. Let’s prove them wrong together!
