It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when brides and grooms incorporate their friend’s talents into their wedding day, for example helping with invitations, providing floral design or wedding day beauty. Or, in the instance of today’s wedding of Amy and Bill, photography! It always adds an extra level of personalization. Turns out Amy, the bride, is quite good friends with Jodi of j. anne photography who documented her rustic meets modern wedding at JW Marriott Las Vegas.
Jodi, the photographer writes: “Amy and I were incredibly close throughout college, and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding back in 2004. A few kids later, and she is still one of those friends who can stroll into my house on a Saturday and we can pick up exactly where we left off. Like time stood still in between us.” So sweet!
Amy and Bill’s outdoor wedding on the gorgeous grounds of the Marriott is full of rustic country touches paired with a crisp palette of white and bright blue and earthy neutrals. It’s also filled to the brim with gorgeous hand lettering, burlap details and personal touches like that little conductor’s hat Bill is holding (it was his father’s, who passed away), an actual “typing of the knot”, as well those incredible boots Amy and her bridal party are rocking.
In true southern style, there was a groom’s cake at the reception, and everyone kicked up their boots with a lot of dancing. I’m in love with this Vegas style classic country wedding!
