Aria – Chihuly Gallery

Aria – Chihuly Gallery

If you are a fan of glass artist Dale Chihuly’s colorful designs, you will be excited to learn that the Chihuly gallery at Aria offers space to host wedding ceremonies and receptions. Chihuly is probably best known for the glass sculpture on the lobby ceiling that stops visitors in their tracks next door at Bellagio, but his work also hangs in the chapel in Planet Hollywood.

You and up to 50 guests can experience the modern glass art worth millions of dollars alongside sculptures and prints during your wedding ceremony in the one-of-a-kind space on the ground floor just outside the main valet in the Gallery Row shops. Aria will also set up a long-table reception in the loft-like, somewhat industrial space.

Reception Options: Dinner at one of the 17 on-site restaurants, or reception add-ons to ceremony packages including a two-hour open bar cocktail reception with tray passed appetizers plus wedding cake at Deuce Lounge ($5000 for up to 29 guests, $9500 for up to 59 guests), Social House or in a suite.

Aria – Fireside Lounge

Aria – Fireside Lounge

The Fireside Lounge is actually a location nestled inside Aria’s Spa and Salon. It’s a “feature that blends fire and water to create an ambient prelude or finale to the soothing treatments that lie within” which is marketing speak for: it’s a cozy space with a fireplace.

As a ceremony space the intimate Fireside Lounge is only available after 6pm and includes 50 Chiavari chairs, a pianist and aisle decor. As a reception space there is room for 60 at a small cocktail style party which Aria will help set up for you.

Aria – The Wedding Chapel

Aria – The Wedding Chapel

Aria’s chapel opened in the spring of 2013 to much fanfare over its luxe decor and exclusivity. That is to say, there is just a single chapel and they only hold one wedding at a time. The 2,750 square foot chapel on the first floor of the convention center holds up to 60 guests. With an understated, modern design the color theme is chocolate and cream alongside rich purple draping and touches of metallic detailing throughout. There are good views from all of the seats in the chapel as it’s a sort of curved shape. Like many Vegas Strip hotel chapels, it is located in the convention center, however the trip to the chapel itself is quite nice – a rarity in many Strip hotels! It’s quite an impressive escalator ride down to the huge mahogany doors to the chapel itself, with a lot of greenery and glass.

One of the nicest perks of Aria’s chapel are the vanity areas for the bride and groom. Both offer extended space, with the groom’s side boasting a pool table and wet bar. Both of the spaces join the chapel, so there will be no hiding in hallways in case you do not want to see your partner ahead of the ceremony – again, something that commonly occurs in many hotel chapels.

Cost:
$1600-15500, Insuite from $2800

Aria – Poolside

Aria – Poolside

The poolside verandah provides wonderful options for those seeking a tropical, outdoor venue. Lush gardens with the glow of the Strip lights and soaring architecture of the modern buildings at CityCenter makes for an enchanting feeling. Poolside weddings are only available after 8pm.

Bellagio – South and East Wedding Chapels

Bellagio – South and East Wedding Chapels

Both of the chapels in Bellagio feature neutral tones of champagne, taupe, cream and brown. The details are quite pretty and intricate, including architectural sconces, hand-blown glass chandeliers crafted, lush drapes, and amethyst glass windows traced with gold leaf and Italian stained glass. There is traditional pew seating.

The south chapel holds 130 guests and the east just 30. No matter which chapel you choose, they only host one wedding at a time and they do not allow visitors during ceremonies.

Reception Options:  Reception packages are priced from $125+ per person for different combinations, including plated meals, buffets, hand passed canapés, action stations, and toasts. Luncheon receptions are an option, beginning at $82 per person. Hosted bars start at $25 per person per hour.

Bellagio – Terrazza di Sogno

Bellagio – Terrazza di Sogno

The Terrazza di Sogno wedding option is classic Las Vegas, taking place in front of the iconic fountains at Bellagio. You may invite a maximum of 34 guests to join you on an Italian balcony made of marble overlooking the blue water. You are allowed to choose one song for your kiss, and it will do its thing with the dancing water on the Lago di Como behind you as you celebrate your new marriage. It is only available as an upgrade to the ceremony packages, for $2000. Sometimes, especially over Christmas, there is a discount on the package, so if you are flexible and really want this location, it’s worth watching for. For smaller weddings, the Fountain Courtyard offers a similar experience.

If you are interested in having a mobile ceremony service perform in front of the fountains on The Strip, you may like to see this rough schedule of Bellagio fountain songs, from January 2013. I’m not sure how often they change the order, but this is a good guide to know what songs are played, at least, if not when. Be warned that even the sidewalk in front of the fountains, right next to the street is NOT public property – Bellagio owns that sidewalk right to the curb, and they may ask you to leave if they see you holding your wedding there. Be ready for a little adventure!

Bellagio – Fountain Courtyard

Bellagio – Fountain Courtyard

The romantic courtyard at Bellagio is framed by stunning Tuscan landscaping, and is a very intimate space for a wedding, overlooking the Lago Di Como and fountains. It’s a good alternative to the Terrazza di Sogno wedding package and is more intimate, with space for just 10 standing guests.

Reception Options: Reception packages are priced from $125+ per person for different combinations, including plated meals, buffets, hand passed canapés, action stations, and toasts. Luncheon receptions are an option, beginning at $82 per person. Hosted bars start at $25 per person per hour.
