What to know:

An hour and a half north of Las Vegas, the scenic Valley of Fire is aptly named. Similar to Red Rock Canyon, this Nevada state park is created of red Aztec sandstone sandwiched between gray and tan limestone, making for eye-catching vistas and swirling rock formations, especially at sunrise and sunset. There are also 2,000-year-old petrified trees and petroglyphs, rock arches and towers.

Mobile wedding companies will create a ceremony or reception package for you, something that is recommended versus going it alone as professionals know the area and know the rules and regulations.

Choose your vendors carefully, only a few are permitted to run events in the park and photographers must have a commercial photography permit to shoot there. Some companies even provide mini receptions with Champagne and cake to celebrate and chairs for your guests.

Celebration location options:

Currently, there are four locations for wedding cermonies: Seven Sisters, Rainbow Vista, Visitor’s Center and The Cabins. There are few facilities in the park, expect to rough it a bit and find your sense of adventure.
