Jaclyn and Justin were aiming for a nature-filled and green inspired wedding and reception, so the venue they chose, the Springs Preserve, was the perfect place to pull such their modern desert wedding off. Photographed by Gin & Sake Productions, this wedding featuring a blush, sage and navy palette was infused with natural touches inspired by the surroundings and gardens at the Preserve.

The altar decoration and centrepieces were a mix of DIY and professional work by the team at Layers of Lovely, meant to offer a modern twist on a garden setting. Moss, succulents, rocks and other natural products inside tiny glass bubbles hovered above Jaclyn and Justin as they married in the Gardens Arboretum.

Relaxed fashions for the bridal party included shirts and vests for the men with Sperry topsider shoes, blush pink gowns and Kate Spade bangles for the ladies and a polka dotted tulle gown with ruffled skirt and two different sashes for Jaclyn. She carried a bouquet of peonies and anemones mixed with succulents and was accompanied up the aisle by her brothers. The adorable flower girl and ring bearer, aged 1 and 4 respectively, are the niece and nephew of the groom.

Inside at their reception in the Gardens Terrace, tablescapes mixed the greenery with glass lanterns and terracotta pots, extending the greenhouse and conservatory feel indoors.

As I often do, I asked if the bride had any advice for other couples. Jaclyn writes: “After our wedding, Justin and I talked about our one thing that we would change: we both wish we would have gotten a “to go” plate! We had about three bites of our dinner and everyone said it was SO good. I did actually bring a chunk of cake with us to the Vdara for our honeymoon night (we didn’t get any cake other than our feeding each other pics) but food would have been good too.”

Since the wedding was at the height of summer, Jaclyn also had some good advice about coping with the heat. “If you get married in 116 degree wedding bring towels to wipe down during photos! We did a first look so we got most of our pictures done before the ceremony. It really let us relax during the ceremony and enjoy our time with our guests.”

Very nice work and an excellent idea. Springs Preserve is a hidden gem as far as venues go and both the planner and the wedding photographer did a wonderful job of capturing the ‘nature’ feel.
