Today’s wedding, Erin & Humboldt’s, was photographed by KMH Photography. The couple came from California to be wed infront of their friends and family from all over the country at the top of the Riviera. The February wedding, shortly after Valentine’s Day, was full of red roses and romantic red details. Scheme Events oversaw the planning and day of coordination of the 210 guest wedding.

Taking advantage of the fantastic views, the sunset ceremony took place at the Top of the Riv and was held after Eren and Humboldt had their first look and did a few portraits around the property, taking advantage of the classic neon and the lovely gardens there. I love the emotion in both of their faces. First looks are so romantic! Eren chose a Spanish look for her gown with a flamenco hem and cathedral veil. Her bouquet of pink and blush roses with lilies was in memory of Humboldt’s mom, named Lilly. So sweet! Humboldt wore a traditional translucent Filipino barong.

When asking Eren about her favorite memories of the day, she said she had two: When her dad saw her in her wedding dress in the bridal room. She writes, “My sister was helping me with my final touches and placing my veil on my head, when my dad walked in and saw me and my sister. We all looked at each other started to cry (happy tears) and were in a group hug.”

And the second was when her dad was walking her down the aisle and while all the guests were standing/taking pictures, Eren was looking at her husband to be. She had chosen a special surprise song for her processional: Amy Winehouse’s “To Know Him is to Love Him”. Even though they did a first look, she said it felt like it was her first time seeing him that day when that happened. GOOSEBUMPS!

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed Mexican and Filipino dishes including lechón – a whole roasted pig – and danced and partied all night at the Top of the Riv ballroom with some great music courtesy Mariachi Nuevo de Las Vegas band and Knight Sounds DJs. Eren said that they wanted a mix of Latin as well as English music, plus a Spanish-English speaking DJ for announcements and they delivered. Red and gold tones dominated the fantastic party space – great for Eren and Humboldt who are serious San Francisco 49ers fans. Congratulations, Eren and Humboldt!
