Confession time: this wedding today made my mouth water. I love the restaurant, Bouchon, which hosted the reception for Gloria and Ted following their wedding ceremony at Paris Las Vegas. All this French gourmet food eyecandy made posting about this wedding a very difficult thing indeed!

This very French-inspired wedding featuring pops of blue, chic accessories, a macaron-laden cake and of course, the Eiffel Tower, was photographed by the husband and wife team of The Emerics. Because it was a December wedding, there were appropriate colors – silver and blue dominated in the decor and linens, barren branches and snowflake details were featured and the bridesmaids received warm pashmina wraps as gifts.

Planning the 70 guest wedding from Florida was easy, said Gloria. It was mostly conducted via email and phone. The staff and service (and food!) at Bouchon were described as “exquisite”, and Gloria’s contact, Heather, at Paris Las Vegas was “amazing” with helping Gloria plan all of the ceremony details in the cathedral-style Chappelle du Paradis.

Gloria’s tip for other brides and grooms planning their destination Vegas wedding: “Relax, you’re in good hands.”

In case you’re wondering (I know I was – I also keep a food blog!) here was the full menu for the meal that was served privately in the main dining room of Bouchon: To start, butternut squash soup with cranberry emulsion or mixed green salad with warm goat cheese, herbes de Provence and a red wine vinaigrette. Main entrees were a choice of sauteed Scottish salmon with farro, roasted squash and beurre rouge or roasted chicken with savory jus along with Brussels sprouts, parsnips and bacon lardons or flatiron steak with pureed potatoes, shallots and maître d’hôtel butter.  Tiny bite-sized mignardises followed then that absolutely immaculate macaron covered citrus flavored gâteau.

Bouchon’s an excellent choice, but if you are seeking more options for a restaurant on the Strip to hold your wedding reception, look no further than this post “6 Restaurants Perfect for your Las Vegas Wedding Reception“ for some ideas on where to start.

What a gorgeous wedding and amazing looking meal. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go daydream about Bouchon’s croque-madame with that huge haystack sized pile of frites they serve it with. Yum….
