Price Range: The prices are incredibly low – $87 for the least expensive ceremony, but it is a true elopement. Other packages, named after various flowers, range from $127-$587. As the price increases, the number of guests you can have attend and the perks included rise. Helicopter weddings and those in the desert, from Red Rock, Valley of Fire to the Grand Canyon run $557-$3,397. Elvis weddings are a given, the most interesting being the “duelling Elvis” ceremony with two different Elvises from different eras at $777. There are also ceremonies in limos. Just don’t get car sick.
Packages Can Include: In addition to traditional on-site ceremonies in their chapel, Wee Kirk will also perform various themed weddings and on location weddings. (See above.) Add ons include sand and candle ceremonies, on location weddings, photography and flowers.
Outside Photographers Allowed: Yes.
General Information: Little Church of the West might get the title of the oldest building on the Strip, but Wee Kirk claims the oldest chapel title, opening in 1940. Wee Kirk o’ the Heather means “Little Chapel of the Lucky Flowers” in Scottish. The chapel is indeed “wee” from what I’ve heard and seen – it only holds 32 people.
Wee Kirk is generally lauded as having personalized, friendly service despite its low cost and long history. It’s very close to the courthouse (two blocks) if you are planning an especially speedy ceremony with little time to think over the decision post license pick-up.
