Short and Cute at Imperial Palace {The Quad}

I had a huge smile on my face the first time I saw this wedding on Meg’s blog – from the flouncy little Priscilla of Boston dress the bride wore to the purple tones of the overhauled Imperial Palace chapel (uh, who knew!?) and the hilarious surprise from up above while the party boarded the bus for a cruise of the Strip… check Stephanie and Dan’s wedding out!

I am so in love with the dress she chose!

As the bus boarded, everyone on top suddenly started pointing up above and a new “friend” was made…

Did you spot her!? Awesome.

So gorgeous – thanks for sharing, Meg. As always, it was a treat. For more photos of this wedding, please visit MegRuth’s blog.

A Rocker’s Wedding with a Strip View {Hard Rock Cafe}

I love the quirky, unusual portraits and group shots photographer Mike Lichtenwalner got of this couple, Amanda and Jason, at the Hard Rock Cafe. Unique, incredibly fun looking weddings like these are a big reason why I am so in love with Las Vegas ceremonies.

How modern and cool is their sand ceremony set? Reminds me of my university chemistry classes!

Alright. This, this right here is what I’m talking about. A lovely outdoor ceremony on the balcony at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip. That incredibly unique view may be all the decor you need!

I love the same color, different design bridal party outfits the ladies wore.

An “Amelie” Inspired Wedding Shoot {Red Rock Country Club}

This inspiration wedding shoot from The Emerics* is nothing less than gorgeous. And imaginative! I love the film “Amelie”, and I had never considered intertwining elements from the film in the way they did. If you’re a fan of “Amelie”, you’ll recognize some things from the movie in the photos today. On their photography blog The Emerics write:

For our first ever wedding inspiration shoot, we decided to create a wedding inspired by one our favorite movies of all time, the French film Amelie.  We love the movie so much, our daughter’s middle name is Amelie!  So, if you’ve never seen the movie, I suggest you go watch it soon.  It’s such a sweet film about doing good and finding love.  It’s one of those movies that just makes you feel really good after watching it. We had so many ideas floating around but we  finally chose to narrow it down and focus on bringing out the organic elements of the movie and stick to it’s very specific color scheme of greens and reds.

I second that! “Amelie” is an amazing movie!

They worked with a team of amazing Las Vegas vendors to pull this dream into being – see below for a full list of the people who made this happen. For now – enjoy the photos, and don’t be afraid to consider different points of inspiration for your wedding if it has a theme. Let’s get to it!

*Yes, I used a capital T for the. That’s how awesome The Emerics are.

A number of the props and additional touches like the suitcase and cake table came from thrift stores! Other items, like the burlap sacks were handsewn by Jason Emeric.

That raspberry mille crepe cake looks divine, doesn’t it?

You know I’m a sucker for succulents. It’s like a tiny, perfect, bouquet … but it’s a boutonniere!

Artichokes are one of the things mentioned in the French film.

Thank you so much Jessie and Jason, for letting me feature this imaginative photoset! I can’t wait to see what else you cook up…

An All Star Wedding {Bear’s Best}

The luxury. The comfort. The awesomeness of …Converse shoes! I love that this wedding shot by Chelsy of CardinCreative featured custom embroidered Converse shoes for not just the bride (Jen) and groom (Luis), but the entire wedding party. Coupled with coordinating colors for the other wedding details, expansive greens of the Bear’s Best golf course and gorgeous smiles, this wedding is a hole in one!

How great of an idea “Wedding I-spy!?” Give your wedding attendees a fun game to play, with great photo results for you.

Splashes of Orange and a Dash of Glamour {Springs Preserve}

When Meg of Megruth Photography alerted me to this wedding, I knew it had to be something special. And I was not disappointed! The word “dreamy” gets thrown around a lot in the wedding world…but it definitely applies to this wedding.

Katie and Ryan were wed at the Springs Preserve, in the gorgeous Origen room. The lighting and wood provide a certain warmth. It’s one of my favourite venues at the Springs Preserve. The freestanding vases of callas from Enchanted Florist were a beautiful choice – they just seem to float in the room.

The bride’s delicate Alençon lace and frothy tulle gown came from Lazaro, and those sparkly platforms from BCBG.

Beautiful portraits – the orange details were a great choice for the Springs Preserve. They really work with the ochre and terracotta tones of the buildings there. And again, the dress! It reminds me of seafoam.

Could be in Paris, right? What a dramatic moment Meg captured here. And I have to say, I love those tattooed brides!

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
