I’ve been waiting patiently to share today’s amazing styled shoot with you, and I’m so happy the day has finally come! Kristen of Kristen Joy Photography conceived of the idea, provided the event design and photography for this wedding inspiration shoot at Gilcrease Orchard, and did such an amazing job.
I can hear you saying right now: “Wait. That photo was taken in Las Vegas?” And the answer is yes! Gilcrease Orchard is an amazing orchard in the city that is probably more comfortable amongst California hills.
Vegetable crops and row upon row of apple and other fruit trees like pears, apricots and plums meet those visiting the orchard, whether it be on a pick-your-own-fruit trip, a school field trip, or wedding! The nearly 100-year-old orchard set on sixty acres of land is unlike anything else in the area due to its vibrant greenness and amazing produce. And as you’ll see below, incredible photo opportunities.
For the shoot, soft colors, lush florals, fresh fruits and romantic furniture completed the scene, all under a cotton candy sky. I love the look for the “bride” model – the soft romantic makeup with luxurious lashes and a lacy gown. The slightly seafoam colored lace gown she wears, “Heaven on Earth,” is a couture creation from Theia’s sping 2013 collection, rented from Rent the Runway for the shoot!
Layers of Lovely, who did the flower design for the shoot, wrapped the bouquet in burlap and lace. A tablescape of peaches, lace, fine china and silver accents had place settings of beautiful paper products by SHE Paperie, pinned into a peach on each plate.
Simply gorgeous, totally inspiring…and worth the wait!
