Today’s beautiful wedding comes courtesy Calvin Yao at Fisheye Photos. He photographed Julie and Kyle’s wedding at Mandarin Oriental and I was literally shaking with anticipation at hitting publish on this one! It’s full of dreamy details, architectural bridal portraits and a few teary eyes…
Kyle (from California) and Julie (from Guam) met at university in New York, so it goes without saying that attendees at their wedding were from all over the globe. Las Vegas was the perfect solution because not only being a central meeting spot, but it allowed guests to have a fun wedding weekend. The Mandarin Oriental played a key role in providing the not-too-Vegas wedding that Julie and Kyle wanted. Purple uplighting, golden details and soft floral touches by Flowers of the Field accented this classy affair.
Shimmering gold sequined mini dresses for the bridesmaids and the lights glittering through the windows of the ballroom reception remind you that although you are in the calm and serene Mandarin Oriental…this is still Las Vegas! I love the variety of portraits the couple got just by walking a short distance out of the Mandarin, too. I’m a sucker for modern architecture and love CityCenter for its huge array of photo opportunities.
If you’ve had the pleasure of being in any Mandarin Oriental property, you will know that they are incredibly service oriented. Julie raves about the on site event planners, saying the staff “…was so easy to work with in terms of planning a wedding from afar. They were basically my day of coordinator, and I can’t speak highly enough about their staff and service.”
The wedding ceremony took place in Ballroom A of Mandarin Oriental, and then post-vows the guests moved to the stunning and spacious Ballroom C for the reception. With full pane windows that provided a view of The Strip and a balcony overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard below, the room was a beautiful option for this completely modern destination Vegas wedding!
