Today’s wedding ceremony featured peacock blue colors, but also expansive views from the heart of downtown Vegas, a jazz band, a robot ringbearer and instead of a unity sand ceremony? A unity rope magic trick. And that was just the ceremony!
This incredibly inventive wedding, photographed by Josh & Jen Photography, had many personal touches. The ceremony and reception took place at The Ogden, which is a fabulous condominium in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. Trish and Patrick, the bride and groom, both work and met downtown, so it’s a special place for them.
Ahead of the ceremony, there was a cocktail hour for guests up on the 25th floor terrace, with a panoramic view of the best of Las Vegas. The ceremony featured the music of the Las Vegas Academy Jazz band, a little smartphone robot ringbearer (Any fans of Parks and Recreation here? DJ Roomba in the houssse!) and a “unity rope” magic trick instead of candle or unity sand ceremony, performed by a very special person.
The reception continued on the open air terrace, with food from Soirees, a delicious Freed’s cake, shots of Fernet, stuffed animals hiding in the plants, a popcorn bar and a DJ. Afterwards the party headed over to the Downtown Cocktail Room where the party went on until the early hours of the morning.
