One of the things I enjoyed the most in the lead up and wind down for my own wedding were the Blurb guestbook and photobook I laid out and created myself. I loved the control I had over the book, from the type of paper I used to what I wanted printed on the spine and what momentos I scanned and where I wanted them placed inside.

Ever since then, I’ve been itching for an excuse to make another book. With Valentines Day approaching, I got the idea to do a mini-book of photos from all the places my husband and I have spent Valentines Day together, from Thailand to Japan to, of course, Las Vegas. Since he doesn’t read the blog often, I can share a little preview of what one of the internal pages from the 7×7 book looks like as seen in the Blurb BookSmart editor:

Blurb has a great offer leading up to February 14 – 20% off your entire order. Perfect for publishing a gift for Valentines Day, for a girlfriend, boyfriend, wife or husband. You could publish a mini-Valentines Day photo memory book like I am, or a collection of scanned notes you’ve exchanged through the years, for example. There are even tools for publishing Instagram feeds or Facebook albums if time is running short. If you make and order your book by January 31, they promise delivery for Valentines Day.

The site has easy to understand software and tutorials that make laying out the photos, text and borders super easy and you have a lot of control over many aspects of the design. The finished books make beautiful gifts for anyone at any time of the year and are so fun to create. I can personally attest to the quality of the printed hard cover books with heavyweight paper. They look and feel amazing!
