Zach and Karen are new residents to the Las Vegas area, brought there by Zach’s work with the US Air Force. The couple eloped in a private ceremony in December, but took some engagement photos with photographer Alisha Sims in Las Vegas, the first city they got to call home as a couple. Certainly special since Zach’s work is sure to have the couple living all around the world!
While the couple has two rescue dogs named Ellie and Jake, it was only Jake the dachshund appeared in the photos with the couple. And we all know how I feel about pets in engagement photos (umm…LOVE ‘EM!) so of course I had to feature this heartwarming session. Isn’t the rainbow amazing? And it’s not a Floyd Lamb Park shoot without a peacock or two…

I shot the session at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, a park near their house. It’s a spot where they can enjoy the outdoor, walk their pups and enjoy the Las Vegas scenery. Karen loves the peacocks! The session ended while a storm was rolling in and we caught the most perfect rainbow!Â
