Cami and Patrick – featured in today’s earlier Calico Basin engagement post – chose to hold their fantastic all-in-one wedding ceremony and reception at Sunset & Vines, a restaurant located on the shores of Lake Las Vegas. The event, captured by Gin and Sake Productions, had vintage vinophile vibe with rustic elements that tied together the things most important to the bride and groom – a romantic atmosphere, great food and wine, and family!

Sunset & Vines puts the emphasis on fine wine and dining and looks like a totally unique spot for a wedding. The European decor of the restaurant featured heavily in the Spanish inspired theme, with neutral colors combining with romantic lighting and stonework.

I love the reasons the couple chose to hold their entire wedding event at the restaurant. Although the venue held some challenges, such as the fact the restaurant had never held a wedding of this size before and the need to find a ceremony seating setup that worked for the unique space, there were special memories like seating all 100 guests family style at a long table reception setup.

Cami tells it best: “I chose Sunset & Vines because we know the restaurant and staff very well. Through thick and thin when Lake Las Vegas was suffering we always gave our support to them. (The restaurant’s General Manager) Max Saleme runs the show over there and he is the best. I love the decor inside, and I just realized one day sitting there having some wine that we could do the whole shebang in there. I wanted a very intimate and heart felt ceremony, and I felt I would get just that from the venue. It was beautiful. We wanted to sit like a family. It definitely felt that way…it was magical. It was nighttime, the trees were all lit up…we ate everything family style…it really was like a dream.”

The menu featured spit roasted pigs, artisanal cheeses and fruits and of course, fabulous vino – perfect for this couple who loves wine (Patrick is a certified sommelier) and who got engaged in Napa Valley in California.

What a gorgeous, love filled and totally memorable and meaningful wedding in a beautifully unique setting!

Given the unique and beautiful decor and ambience of the restaurant, it seems like a gorgeous spot to hold an all in one event, and Cami has some advice if you are thinking of holding your wedding and reception here: “Unless you can be your own wedding planner, you will need to hire someone to coordinate things for you since this is not a typical place for a wedding. I did all of the planning, and Max helped with the restaurant roles (food, beverages, table/chair renting, etc.) HOWEVER…I HIGHLY recommend having an event here. It’s peaceful, romantic, beautiful, the staff is amazing, the hotels out there are great and within walking distance for traveling guests, the food was wonderful…there is nothing I would change. Just that I wish I could relive it everyday.”

I would love to talk with Cami about using this venue for an event. Is there a way for me to be in touch with her?
