Classy Bachelor Party in Downtown Las Vegas from Taylored Photo Memories

Retro Vegas Bachelor Party | Little Vegas Wedding

Fact: stylish photo shoots with your best friends aren’t just for the ladies! This group of gentlemen flew in from England to spend some time with the would-be groom, Liam, in Las Vegas for his bachelor party. The gents kept it classy and arranged for a fashion-forward photo shoot around downtown with Taylored Photo Memories.

The sharp-dressed men looked great in front of some old school landmarks including The Mob Museum and historic El Cortez hotel which give the photos a retro feel. Of course there was a stop for some brews at the bars on Fremont East and the Container Park. I love this idea and it’s so great if you’re looking for something new to do for a bachelor party activity while in Vegas! While you’re here, you should check these 10 ideas for your bachelor party out.

Unique Wedding Registry Ideas from UncommonGoods (and a Giveaway!)

Modern Wedding Gifts from Uncommon Goods

As we enter the last half of 2014 (yikes!) I can’t help but think of how far weddings have come. Of course, tradition is still very much alive (see: first dance, white dresses, wedding readings) but some things have become super modernized in recent years, adapting to the wishes of today’s couple. One of these things has been the wedding registry.

No longer relegated as an afterthought, online registries and shipping have made even destination weddings open to wedding gift registries. Couples can select items from the newest and coolest collections for their home, no longer stuck wondering how many toasters they may get.

If you’ve read Little Vegas Wedding for a while now, you know that I love to online window shop. UncommonGoods has been on my radar for some time, because of the sheer number of funky home goods, handmade art, and personalized gifts. I wasn’t joking when I said I liked to browse there often.

Most recently I’ve been there shopping for the perfect anniversary gift (they have an amazing selection) for a pair of friends about to celebrate five years of marriage, so I was thrilled when they contacted me to let me know about their unique wedding gift ideas, too.

I had a great time pulling together some gift packages for some of the cooler couples I know: D + J who love beer, J + K who love to cook outdoors and M + A who are very environmental. See my boards below!

The gifts are thoughtful, support artisans and best of all, many of them are exclusive to UncommonGoods, so you know Aunt Marge won’t be buying the same item as someone else on your registry. Oh, and not a toaster in sight!

The Golden Girls of Camuto: clockwise from left 1 // 2 // 3 // 4

I don’t normally post giveaways on my site (saving most wedding contests and freebies for Little Vegas Wedding’s sister site, Wedding Day Giveaways, you should follow it!) but I love Vince Camuto shoes, and thought some of you might like to know about their Pair Made in Heaven contest!

Vince Camuto has partnered with The Knot to give away a pair of shoes for the bride, their bridesmaids or groomsmen, issues of The Knot magazine and a bottle of Vince Camuto’s “Femme” fragrance.

To qualify, click the image above or here and follow Vince Camuto on Pinterest and re-pin any images from the Vince Camuto and The Knot page to your own Pinterest board. The lucky winner will be selected at random. Contest closes April 21 2014. Open to residents of the United States, full rules here.

Little Vegas Wedding’s Best of 2013, Oscars Edition

Many wedding bloggers were doing annual roundups just as 2014 began, but I thought it would be more fun to play off the Academy Awards and give honorary Oscar “nominations” for some favorite photos from posts featured on the site in 2013. The photos are a mix of personal choices and those that were popular on social media*. Mostly, it’s just a chance to highlight some amazing photography and work by various vendors from 2013. It was an amazing year on the blog, and I wish I could have included so many more!

So, presenting the nominees in the following categories: Best Visual Effects, Best Drama, Best Props, Best Set Design, Best Wardrobe Design, Best Kiss, Best Picture, Best Supporting Cast, Best Hair and Makeup and Best Cinematography! If you click the photo, it will bring you through to the full post if you would like to see more.

Casting Call for a Reality TV Show in Las Vegas: Ambush Weddings

Tutera Ambush Wedding Las Vegas

It’s not often I will dedicate something like this to its own post, but I think it warrants it in this case, since this might be a fun opportunity for some of you out there, and the deadline is coming up soon!

Celebrity wedding planner David Tutera is involved in a new reality TV show filming in Las Vegas (and LA) about what else? Weddings, of course! David Tutera Unveiled presents Ambush Weddings! They are currently seeking couples to star on the show.

If you have been dating or engaged for a while and are impatient for your wedding day to arrive, why not “ambush” your loved one during a trip to Las Vegas with a surprise wedding? David Tutera and his team of pros will be waiting in the wings to create a stylish pop-up wedding ceremony that is so chic your partner can’t refuse. This opportunity is for anyone at any stage of the wedding planning process, and is free.

I’m not sure I totally agree with ambushing someone with a wedding, since that’s not really my style, but if you like to live life on the edge, this is an amazing opportunity. Apparently it’s the latest trend in the wedding world? Vegas weddings are already fun, why not take it to the next level?

Your event must be between March and June 2014 in Las Vegas (or Los Angeles) and you must be a US resident. Head here for more details and to apply for this opportunity!
