Nicole and Greg’s autumn wedding at Spanish Trail Country Club was packed full of pretty purple details. Elements of Hawaiian traditions and culture were also included in this beautiful wedding. Greg’s mother, who is Hawaiian, was honored when she made each of the men in the wedding party a Maile-style ti leaf lei. These traditional garlands are used at many occasions in Hawaii, but are particularly lovely at weddings since they are used to send off a loved one beginning a life change, and especially so for men to signify strength and courage.
More from the photographer, Samantha Bonpensiero:
While getting ready, Nicole’s 2-year-old daughter, Audrey, brought a gift from Greg over. He had remembered that Nicole mentioned how amazing it would be to get a new perfume on her wedding, so that every time she wore it, it would remind her of that day. It was so exciting watching her open this sweet gesture from him. From the moment the ceremony started their wedding day was full of joy, love and good times!
Wedding day scents are fantastic, and make for such pretty photos and stories. Congratulations to the couple!
