Planet Hollywood – Chapel

Planet Hollywood – Chapel

Although you wouldn’t know it, Planet Hollywood has been around in various forms since the early 1960s. Elvis even married Priscilla there, back when it was called the Aladdin. A few changes of ownership and since turning over to Planet Hollywood, the hotel has a Hollywood theme, with many of its rooms featuring silver screen memorabilia. Despite this, the chapel is more or less theme-free, save for some movie posters from movies about weddings and marriage in the bridal suite.

Planet Hollywood’s wedding chapel seats up to 65 guests and features a larger bridal suite, marble floors and a one of a kind glass art piece by world renowned artist Dale Chihuly. It’s very easy to find, just up an escalator from the main casino floor. One of the more unique themed package add-ons is the red carpet arrival where wedding attendees walk the red carpet and are interviewed by a spokesmodel about the wedding as they enter the chapel, recorded for use on a wedding DVD.

Reception Options: Restaurant receptions are possible at Strip House and Koi Las Vegas. Ballrooms are also available. Another property that is hip to couples hosting their own in-suite receptions, there are packages for meet and greet parties, morning after brunches and even two packages with receptions in a Panorama Suite.

Luxor – Titanic

Luxor – Titanic

In addition to the chapel weddings at this Egyptian themed hotel and casino, it is also possible to get married on the Grand Staircase inside the Titanic exhibit at Luxor. This ceremony only option has space for 15 guests and includes wedding photos on the Grand Staircase, Promenade Deck, First Class Cabin and Titanic Hull for that thematic touch.

Luxor – Wedding Chapel

Luxor – Wedding Chapel

The subdued, classic chapel at Luxor is devoid of any Egyptian theming (which I find sad, but I love casino theming!) There are two chapels (plus the Grand Staircase in the Titanic exhibit) to get married in. Wedding packages range from an intimate elopement for $299 which includes 20 guests up to the Diamond package for $1625.

Reception Options: The Egyptian Ballroom is easily adaptable to intimate settings for 25 guests or a lavish event that can accommodate 1,000 guests at a sit down dinner. In chapel catering is available for 75 guests, and poolside events can host from 150-700 people. Lunch, cocktail and dinner receptions (plated and buffet) available. Dinner catering from $48-66 for 25 people, minimum. Bar packages from $19 per person. More catering information here.
