Flamingo – West Lawn

Flamingo – West Lawn

The draw for weddings at Flamingo is their expansive 15 acres of gardens and pool area, which doubles as a bird habitat and sanctuary. It’s very tropical, being full of lush greenery, palm trees and crashing waterfalls to house the 300 birds, including Chilean flamingos, swans, ducks, turtle and koi. Surrounded by a variety of trees, lush greenery and fresh flowers, the West Lawn is the place to be married for those who envision a serene location. A classic white gazebo is the perfect backdrop for your ceremony. This area seats up to 100 guests, but has space for more if you rent more chairs. There are unique add on packages such as butterfly releases and an opportunity to place a commemorative brick along one of the famous garden pathways. They do allow outside vendors and photographers for a fee.

Mandalay Bay – Insuite Ceremonies and Receptions

Mandalay Bay – Insuite Ceremonies and Receptions

Popular choices at Mandalay Bay for in-suite parties are the Vista and Media suites, which are great for intimate wedding ceremonies, pre-wedding meet and greets or parties as well as post-wedding cocktail parties and receptions of up to 40 people. Great views, open floor plans, affordable pricing and ease of getting items up to the room make these suites winners for DIY wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Hospitality suite is an option as well, but there is no bedroom in it, and slightly less seating.

Ceremonies are slightly different and can be a bit more challenging for different reasons, as you want to make sure everyone can see and hear your vows.

Mandalay Bay – THEwedding Chapel

Mandalay Bay – THEwedding Chapel

THEwedding chapel, the main chapel at Mandalay Bay, is modern and minimal with a color theme of cream mixed with dark brown woods. It overlooks the pool and beach area at Mandalay Bay. The larger Platinum chapel has a capacity of 100 guests, and weddings under 50 guests take place in the Silver and Gold chapels. The foyer of the chapel (which is quite pretty, actually) is available for more intimate weddings for $2500. The bridal suites are quite pretty, if slightly cozy and compact.

Reception Venue Options: 25+ restaurants, a buffet, and onsite catering. DIY in-suite receptions for up to 40 people are also possible in addition to “official” ones through the hotel. Receptions can be set up independently at most of the Mandalay Bay restaurants including Aureole, Border Grill, House of Blues, the eclectic House of Blues Foundation Room or included as part of your ceremony package. For example pricing, 20 to 30 guests for a plated dinner at Rí Rá, two hours of open bar, a cake plus your ceremony, photography, flowers and a live musician would cost about $7800.

Mandalay Bay – Beach + Pool Weddings

Mandalay Bay – Beach + Pool Weddings

One of Mandalay Bay’s best features is the massive pool area. With a wave pool, real sandy beach, lazy river and tropical landscaping, it’s an oasis in the desert – literally. It’s no surprise, perhaps, that you can also marry there. Sunday through Thursday, you may host a wedding ceremony on the lagoon beach at sunset, or beside a cabana at the stylishly modern Moorea Beach Club.
