What if your “something borrowed” for your wedding happened to be the very same wedding chapel your parents were wed at?
For Jaclyn and Tony, both Las Vegas locals, that became reality! They were married at Little Church of the West just like Jaclyn’s mom and dad were 43 years previous, and Key Lime Photography handled the beautiful photos of this historic day.
This wedding was planned with under 40 days notice – there wasn’t even time to send out wedding invitations! Everyone was invited the old fashioned way, via telephone. The quaint wooden chapel that houses Little Church of the West – the oldest building on The Strip – is made of California redwood and added an intimacy to this wedding. Everything came together beautifully and after the ceremony everyone headed to Bootlegger Bistro for an Italian dinner, cake and some dancing!
How amazing is that? Just proves that you don’t need a year or two of notice to plan a meaningful, beautiful and fun wedding. Congratulations, Jaclyn and Tony!

Following their Mormon wedding at the Las Vegas LDS Temple, Carlee and Nathan had a wedding portrait session with AK Studio and Design. The wedding ceremony was in late October, and the gorgeous setting sun highlights this truly loving couple so well.
Carlee’s loose flowing curls are perfect for the modest lace-sleeve dress she chose. Her beautiful peach toned peony filled bouquet matchs her bow-backed flats. Of course, Nathan looks spectacular in his fitted suit, as well. This is more like a magazine shoot, not a wedding!
Her shoes are the cutest!

Legends Ranch – it’s a real working horse ranch just a few blocks off the Las Vegas Strip. Keep that in mind as you view the photos below – this looks straight out of Montana or Wyoming, or even my home province Alberta. The trees, props and styling as well as the photography from Chelsea Nicole really take it to another place and time. The wedding really showcased the theme of the wedding, which was a vintage country ranch feel.
Also, on a personal note: I love LOVE the dog shots. There’s always room for doggie and bride shots on this blog, photographers.
If it looks like the wedding details are from a store…it’s because they are! Many of the items come from the vintage rental business the bride owns. (Who just happen to be a Las Vegas vendor! Check them out here at The Wooden Trunk)
I love the long table concept, too. And the bench aisle. And the natural wheat and daisy filled bouquets. So many things!
There are even more shots of this amazing wedding over at Chelsea Nicole’s blog.

McKenzi Taylor of Taylored Photo Memories is an outdoor lover, and you can tell with the type of weddings she shoots, and how she shoots them. It doesn’t hurt that she gets some of the loveliest, most down to earth couples…that also happen to be totally adventurous. Today’s wedding is no exception, shot at Mount Charleston in the Springs Mountain range, about an hour’s drive from Vegas.
Hikers Andrea and Greg had a small intimate wedding in the forest, then a casual dinner at Mt Charleston Lodge followed by a walk in the woods. Hiking boots have to be the most comfortable wedding shoes ever.

This wedding shot by The Emerics is really darling, and I save a special spot in my heart for the couple because they are actually from my home province in Canada – Alberta! We’re known for a few things up here like oil, ranches, cattle and rodeos. So I loved that they did a special portrait session at the McKee Ranch in Vegas to acknowledge their “country” roots.
Plus, isn’t their son the most adorable? Love this.
