Welcome to Throwback Thursday, when we delve into the archives of Las Vegas photographers, wedding vendors and wedding planner blogs to reveal weddings you may have missed.
Today is Halloween, of course! Here are some weddings that did not necessarily fall on Halloween, but featured Halloween style decor, gothic nuptials or Día de los Muertos details. There are a few parties and other inspirational links scattered in here as well, just for that extra kick of “boo!”
Melissa and Wade were married earlier this spring in an absolutely party rockin’, ground shakin’ wedding and reception at Veil Pavilion at Silverton Hotel! F-Sequence Studio captured the beauty and excitement of the day in the photos below, but also be sure to keep scrolling and check out the live action in a video from Something New Films, especially if you are a fan of wacky wedding dance videos. (And who isn’t on a Friday?!)
I really like Silverton Hotel & Casino. In addition to a really awesome aquarium (where you can exchange vows underwater) the property has a rustic mountain lodge type feel, as well as a dedicated wedding and events center called Veil. It’s totally my style: antler chandeliers, wood accents and dramatic lighting, plus theatre-style drapery and a massive dance floor.
Speaking of dance floor… this crazy reception dance party saw the bridal party ditch their wedding finery for unique costumes to do the Harlem Shake as a surprise to their guests. Feather boas, E.T. and even a pink gorilla made appearances for the incredible group dance.
Deacon Tyler, the photographer: “We had never shot at Silverton Casino before, but the experience was wonderful and we had full permission to photograph both inside and outside of the casino. It was refreshing and a great opportunity to capture some of the excitement of a true Las Vegas wedding and we actually got photo bombed by a beautiful mermaid at the aquarium!”
Today’s just married couples shoot is a little bit retro rockabilly, a little bit pinup and a lot of cute! Ashley and Scott had arranged to get married at Little Church of the West – the same spot Scott’s parents were wed at years previously. But before they exchanged vows, they headed out to Nelson Ghost Town at Eldorado Canyon for a pre-wedding shoot with Taylored Photo Memories.
Welcome to Throwback Thursday, when we delve into the archives of Las Vegas photographers, wedding vendors and wedding planner blogs to reveal weddings you may have missed. The theme of today’s post? It’s actually colors – red and black!
This color scheme appears over and over again in posts on the blog, and with good reason. Red and black is classic combination offering a palette that is timeless yet modern, easy on the eyes and pretty simple to pull together. It’s flexible enough to be classic, quirky or even retro style. So dive into these past posts to get some ideas stirring on how to incorporating red and black into your Vegas wedding!
It’s probably already clear from the color theme of my blog that I love black, white and red as a color combination, so it’s no surprise I love the color scheme Shakella and Jazz chose for their Vegas wedding! Photographed by Kristen Weaver Photography and held at The Grove at Silk Purse Ranch, this chic wedding is full of that awesome Vegas-y goodness we all love…plus an emotional groom and an adorable ring bearer!
