You’re going to love today’s very timely Day of the Dead Vegas wedding – it’s anything but ordinary! It ticks so many fun, quirky boxes: rockabilly, Día de los Muertos, Elvis, pinup, DIY style, 1950s retro theme…and that’s just for starters. But, that’s what you get when two creative types get married!
Paige and Phil are birds of a feather from New York City – they’re both artists (you have to check out their illustrations and design work at The Art of Paigey and Ballsyart) who have super fun style. Looking through the photos I couldn’t help but feeling like I wanted to be there for the party!
Joined by 44 guests for their destination wedding, they were married by Elvis at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel, and then had a bridal shoot with Glitter Lens Photography at the Neon Boneyard before a restaurant reception at MGM Grand.
The wedding was full of totally personal style that reflected the special wedding date of November 2. There was even a soundtrack for the wedding – how cool is that? Paige and Phil asked their guests to dress in “retro spooky cocktail” style or “what you’d wear to Vincent Price’s funeral.”

Lisa and Keith from Florida held their petite personal wedding in Las Vegas, inviting about 20 friends and family to join them for their nuptials. Seeking a fun wedding, they went the Elvis route! Shanna of Davista Photography took these great photos, starting with the couple at their ceremony at A Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, then doing a downtown arts district photo shoot and ending at Cosmopolitan for their chic insuite afterparty.

The setting for today’s wedding is the peaceful and private Botanical Gardens at Flamingo Las Vegas! Amanda and Curtis roadtripped from Canada to get wed by an Elvis impersonator in the gardens, and had Dennis Dayrit Photography cover the action. That’s a long (but scenic) drive!
Although I do love the photographs of the couple (and her plumeria and vintage brooch purple and turquoise bouquet), I also love that Dennis took some landscape photos of the beautiful scenery at Flamingo. If you haven’t been there, it’s a gorgeous spot to hold a wedding, and there is no shortage of beautiful shots with over 15 acres of gardens, tropical foliage, water features and even birds and wildlife.
As mentioned, although the bride and groom drive to Las Vegas, the other guests joined them by flying down to watch the vows which were exchanged at the Gazebo Chapel. Such a lovely wedding.
Fun bonus fact from Dennis: “Elvis” at this wedding is actually Reverend Roland August, and he’s appeared as Elvis in many TV shows and music videos, perhaps most notably Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas” and an episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Love it!

I’ve always loved the Neon Museum. This week they started hosting weddings in their Boneyard, amongst the old history of the Vegas Strip in the faded and worn out neon signs. I think they’re gorgeous, and they were the inspiration for this week’s retro Vegas Vision wedding board. It’s a little Mad Men, a little Atomic era, a lot of awesome. I love the turquoise and white colors!
“Vegas Vision” inspiration boards are inspired by the different resorts, casinos and locations around Vegas. They’re not really based in reality, but that’s the fun!
If you would like to make your own, the theme is Neon Museum / Retro Vegas. If you want to share, you can create it on Pinterest and tag the board #VegasVision or tag me @lilvegaswed. You can also email me the board: littlevegaswedding AT gmail DOT com
