A Lavish Five Star Wedding Week {Bellagio & Palms}

Wedding at Hyde at Bellagio

This wedding day – no scratch that – wedding week – photographed by Blushing Bride Studio featured a ton of fun events for the bride and groom and their attendees. Naman and Mindy came from Canada to be married in Las Vegas in a grand party that had days of events highlighting the best elements of what Vegas has to offer in entertainment.

The five days of events began with welcome drinks at Cosmopolitan’s beautiful Chandelier Bar and a night of dancing at TAO at Venetian. Day two had everyone relaxing poolside at a party hosted at Wet Republic at MGM Grand. Then, of course the wedding ceremony itself at Hyde at Bellagio and the reception in a two-story Sky Villa suite at Palms. The final day after the wedding was a shoot in the desert and the downtown district of Fremont.

On the patio at Bellagio, Hyde hosted Naman and Mindy’s wedding vows, accented with purple flowers, manzanita branches, a crisp white aisle runner and an incredible view. As the newly wed couple kissed, the fountains at the Bellagio exploded in celebration!

Post-ceremony, everyone headed over to the Palms for a reception in a Sky Villa. Working with planner Brit Bertino, Naman and Mindy converted the incredible suite into a once in a lifetime event full of thoughtful details and touches of hospitality like an ombre frilled fondant cake, custom cocktails and an ice luge, a candy AND popcorn bar, cupcakes plus a modern take on a “Speakeasy” room. The party went into the night as guests enjoyed the DJ and private pool hovering high above Las Vegas with a stunning view of The Strip.

Fabulous fun … and then some. Congratulations Mindy and Naman!

Stunningly Modern Ballroom Wedding {Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas}

mandarin oriental vegas wedding

Today’s beautiful wedding comes courtesy Calvin Yao at Fisheye Photos. He photographed Julie and Kyle’s wedding at Mandarin Oriental and I was literally shaking with anticipation at hitting publish on this one! It’s full of dreamy details, architectural bridal portraits and a few teary eyes…

Kyle (from California) and Julie (from Guam) met at university in New York, so it goes without saying that attendees at their wedding were from all over the globe. Las Vegas was the perfect solution because not only being a central meeting spot, but it allowed guests to have a fun wedding weekend. The Mandarin Oriental played a key role in providing the not-too-Vegas wedding that Julie and Kyle wanted. Purple uplighting, golden details and soft floral touches by Flowers of the Field accented this classy affair.

Shimmering gold sequined mini dresses for the bridesmaids and the lights glittering through the windows of the ballroom reception remind you that although you are in the calm and serene Mandarin Oriental…this is still Las Vegas! I love the variety of portraits the couple got just by walking a short distance out of the Mandarin, too. I’m a sucker for modern architecture and love CityCenter for its huge array of photo opportunities.

If you’ve had the pleasure of being in any Mandarin Oriental property, you will know that they are incredibly service oriented. Julie raves about the on site event planners, saying the staff “…was so easy to work with in terms of planning a wedding from afar.  They were basically my day of coordinator, and I can’t speak highly enough about their staff and service.”

The wedding ceremony took place in Ballroom A of Mandarin Oriental, and then post-vows the guests moved to the stunning and spacious Ballroom C for the reception. With full pane windows that provided a view of The Strip and a balcony overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard below, the room was a beautiful option for this completely modern destination Vegas wedding!

An “I Do” with Tattoos {Downtown Las Vegas}

jamiey-urban-tattoo-wedding007

Casey and Justin were married at Mon Bel Ami Chapel in downtown Vegas and then did a shoot with Jamie Y Photography – even though Casey, the bride, was coming down with strep throat! She powered through, and you can barely tell behind that huge smile.

I cannot get enough of the gritty, urban background of the photos and the rockabilly flare that Casey has going on in her look. The location strikes me as such a perfect spot for post wedding photos for this family!

With just 13 guests including their daughter, this intimate wedding was packed full of meaning – and color. Eye popping graffiti as a backdrop, brilliantly beautiful red hair and lips plus those stunning tattoos captured by Jamie make these photos sing. Casey’s dress shows off her chest piece so perfectly. What a beautiful wedding day shoot. Congratulations!

A Woodsy, Terrarium Inspired Wedding in a Garden {Wynn}

wynn-nature-wedding003

This intimate 40 guest wedding at the Wynn used inspiration from terrariums and greenery for the theme, which complimented the gold, peach and blushing pink colors elsewhere in the wedding. Photographed by the lovely team of Tiffani and Ellie at Sun & Sparrow, you will be blown away by the ways the natural theme was incorporated into the details.

Jason and Victoria traveled from Los Angeles for their destination wedding which was held in the peaceful and private Primrose Court at Wynn, and included a number of DIY projects pulled from wedding blogs and Pinterest to complete the theme.

The bride, Victoria, writes: “I did all of the centerpieces, table numbers, and cake table decor. My favorite was how the terrarium apothecary jars turned out.  It was long and laborious but it came together just as I wanted.” She even spent time creating initial prototypes to make sure all of the projects turned out just perfectly. What attention to detail. To complete the floral looks, Pam at The Palette assisted, adding peach Sahara roses and green orchids to the manzanita branches.

After the garden ceremony, and a short bridal portrait shoot, the wedding party headed over to Joe’s Stonecrab restaurant at the Forum Shops to dine, drink and dance. What a sweet end to a beautiful day.

A High-Fashion Vegas Engagement Session {The Strip}

strip-engagement002

It’s not often that I would split up a post of engagement photos, but I felt like this destination engagement session was really two posts in one, they were so different. Look for part two, set in the desert landscape just outside of Vegas publishing later this afternoon!

The first post from Renaissance Studios Photography are all high fashion, and full of editorial style. Shot in the Las Vegas condo of Canadians Julia and Bruce, it’s a perfect ode to the city they love. If you were ever wondering what to wear for your engagement session on the Vegas Strip, it seems white makes a really great foil to the lights and glitz of the casinos!

Be sure to come back later today to see what surprises the photographers had up their sleeves for the desert portion of their photos. It’s a BIG one.
