If you are seeking a pretty garden wedding venue in Las Vegas and do not might heading off Strip, The Grove should be on your list. LVW has featured a few weddings there through the years, and they are always so pretty, especially under that romantic gazebo. Samantha and Kevin’s destination wedding, featured today, is no exception!
The bridal party wore bright coral and grey and looked like they all had a blast as they partied into the warm Vegas night. So many dramatic moments caught on camera, too, from the father-daughter first look to the sparkler exit — one of the best I’ve seen! (There aren’t very many places on The Strip that allow sparkler or fireworks, so The Grove is a place you should consider if that’s important to you.) Read on for more details from the bride:
WHY LAS VEGAS?
We chose Las Vegas for a few reasons, one being that my father works there and being from California we were familiar with the area. We also had family coming in from all over so we wanted them to also have a nice weekend getaway. Finally we were on a limited budget, and after looking at all-inclusive venues in Orange County we decided that Las Vegas was the right place for us.
THE CEREMONY — Gazebo at The Grove
The ceremony was perfect. As far as emotions go the most emotional moment was the first look I did … not with my groom but with my dad. It was important to both my husband-to-be and I that we didn’t see each other until the moment I walked down the aisle. The theme I would call it shabby chic. Our colors were corals and creams with the guys in grey. We had chalkboard signs and flower balls and we said “I Do” under a big gazebo that fit all 65 of us intimately around sunset.
THE RECEPTION — Grand Garden Room at The Grove
Keeping with the color scheme we knew what we wanted as far the centerpieces. My aunt is a decorator and she created the most beautiful faux flower arrangement inside oversized wine glasses. Guests took them home and can still enjoy them to this day. It was actually funny because we caught a few of the guests smelling and feeling the flowers to see if they were real. We created a guestbook and a Jenga jar for people to leave wishes. We also had candy bars as our favors. We capped off the night with a wonderful sparkler exit.
The Grove provided an all-inclusive package that included a buffet-style dinner and we chose to have prime rib and chicken. But the best was the dessert! We had a small cake for us, and for the guests there were lemon and marble cupcakes. We can not say enough about our venue they went above and beyond to make this day possible and it went so smoothly and we would recommend them to anyone.
VIVA LAS VEGAS
We are big Vegas fans so the guys took Kevin gambling and my girls took me to Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana the night before the big day. We also stayed in a suite at Vdara.
