Ski lifts, snow drifts and wedding style, oh my! It’s about that time again — Christmas in July! Hard to believe, but exactly five months from today, a chill will be in the air and Christmas will be upon us. This isn’t much consolation right now as Las Vegas hovers around the 110°F / 40°C mark this week, but let today’s wedding inspiration take you away from the heat for just a few blissful moments.
I’m in love with this breath of fresh (and cool!) air from Chelsea Nicole Photography in the form of a styled shoot at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort (a beautiful venue I’ve featured before.) Magical, snow-covered scenery and fairytale-like forests paired with beautiful details styled by Scheme Events will transport you with its gorgeous wedding theme inspired by the wintery woodland, a world away from Las Vegas!

Just the Deets
Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is located about an hour’s drive northwest of Las Vegas, and offers a casual and affordable wedding setting that showcases the gorgeous natural backdrop of the Spring Mountains in the spring, summer and fall. It is the perfect venue choice for a couple that wants to combine the many entertainment options of Vegas with the breathtaking view of a rustic outdoor ceremony at Lee Canyon. Get ready in a yurt (a luxury tent with all the amenities you need) then walk the winding forested aisle under a canopy of Ponderosa pins and aspen trees, celebrating afterwards with a festive BBQ reception on the lodge’s patio!
Ceremony locations include Main Deck, Admin Deck, Yurts, Chairlift Four Lodge Patio or the Bighorn Grill with venue fees for just the ceremony location ranging from $1000-2500, depending on the season (certain dates in April, May and September to November.) They also offer both all-inclusive ceremony and reception packages from $95-125 per person for a minimum of 40 people including open bar, and the meals are BBQ buffet style at picnic tables. Pricing is available for just the reception as well, subtract $10 per person.
- Chairlift rides are available as an add-on for unique photo and view opportunities
- Gorgeous wedding settings surrounded by the woods and nature, which look especially fantastic in the fall as the colors change
- This location is a little bit of a jaunt outside of Las Vegas, but is unforgettable if you are seeking a unique mountainous wedding venue in the area
- The resort only offers weddings April through November
- Special pricing is available for shoulder season and weekday weddings for a maximum of 70 guests for those of you on a budget

I don’t get a chance to talk about it much on this site, but I love to ski. I actually run Little Vegas Wedding from a little town in the Canadian Rockies, and I ski at least once a week when the season is in. So when I got this wedding from the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, I had to run it!
Brittany and Richard both live in Las Vegas and met on Fremont Street. They were engaged at Mount Charleston Lodge on a beautiful snowy day, so it makes sense they chose to get married near there as well! I love the location for their rustic, nature inspired ceremony surrounded by trees and loved ones.
Favorite Memory of the Day
The location! The mountains in the background, getting married in a glen in the woods! Our DJ provided excellent music, and the food that the ski resort provided was delicious! The whole package really made the night! Location, music, food, ambiance. Oh, and riding the chair lift to the top to have pictures made!
Why did Brittany and Richard choose the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort?
Richard proposed to me on Mt Charleston, so what better place to get married then on the mountain? We chose the resort for a few reasons. First of all, Maria Norero was truly amazing to work with. She is a classy lady that truly took our desires to heart. She was a great listener and offered great feedback and ideas as well. She helped organize and execute an excellent day. Secondly, the price. We got an amazing deal on all that was offered to us on our special day.
