The House of Blues is a restaurant situated on the casino floor of Mandalay Bay while the Foundation Room is a private club perched up on the 43rd floor of the hotel, with one of the best views in Las Vegas. Although perhaps better known for concerts, their Gospel Brunch and other musically inclined events, the House of Blues and Foundation Room offer unique spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as creative catering.
All events are taken care of by Live Nation Entertainment and on-site services include food & beverage, entertainment, production and an event design team. Daytime and evening events are available.
House of Blues offers a more folk-art style of decor, with an indoor courtyard and skylights. Because of the concert element, there are a few staged areas and lighting and production equipment is available. Music Hall, Courtyard Restaurant, New Orleans Room, Napoleon Deck and Crossroads Room comprise the options available at House of Blues. All venues are indoors. The smallest space hosts up to 36, while an entire buyout is 400.
The exclusive members only Foundation Room provides a stunning rooftop view up The Strip in addition to gothic and a more exotic decor and theme with thick draping and carpets, antique artifacts and deep rich tones and woods. If you can tear your eyes from the view, gold leaf ceiling and chandeliers complete the luxe look. Venue options here include: Foundation Dining Room, Mandalay Patio and Shangri-La Room as well as a few smaller rooms like the Gothic and 1856. This mix of indoor and outdoor venues host more intimate weddings, with different configurations suitable for 60 to 110 people.
Pricing + Catering
Venue rental fees start at $2500 with a food and beverage minimum. Menus can be provided for cocktail receptions, brunches, lunches, and both seated and buffet dinners. Creole and Cajun cuisine is a strong point, and interesting offerings include voodoo shrimp, catfish, jambalaya or southern style buffet breakfast spreads. More traditional catering options are available, as well.
Factor In
- There are very few venues on The Strip that afford such an amazing view as the Foundation Room
- Mandalay Bay offers a variety of other ceremony venues if you wish to only host your reception at House of Blues or Foundation Room
- House of Blues and Foundation Room are independent from the Mandalay Bay wedding packages, so you will be able to bring in your own photographer for ceremony and reception
- The exotic decor of the Foundation Room really speaks for itself and may not require much additional decoration
